The first sports car
The first sports car to be considered (although this term will not be discovered until after World War I), 3 liters in 1910 Vauxhall 20 hp (15 kW) and 27/80PS Austro-Daimler (designed by Ferdinand Porsche).
It will soon join the French DFP (which the athlete, after tuning by HM and WO Bentley) and Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost. In the United States (where the species alternately called roadster, speedster, Runabout, or racing around, there was Apperson, Kissel, Marion, Midland, National, Overland, Stoddard-Dayton, and Thomas with a small model (which today would be called a sports car) while Chadwick, Mercer, Stutz, and Simplex were among large companies (which now might be called a sport sedan or a large caravan).
The two companies will offer a totally reliable first sports car: the Austin Seven and Morris Garage (MG) with the Midget. Seven will soon be "Rod" by many companies (such as type 1, generations later), including Bassett and Dingle (Hammersmith, London), in 1928, Cozette blower mounted on the seven Super Sport, Cecil Kimber while 847 cc engine equipped Small, dwarf and more sold in the first year of the entire production of the previous MGS.
