In 2010, BMW 750i and 750Li models will be supported by a twin-turbocharged V8 engine, 4.4 liters were introduced by the company in 2009 as part of a complete redesign of the 7-series. This engine has 400 horsepower and 450 pounds / feet of torque and mated to a real fast switching speed of eight-wheel-drive automatic transmission system. Motor powers both standard and long wheelbase models of the popular 750 series. Before the introduction of new machines in 2009, BMW 750i and 750Li models are backed by a 360 horsepower 4.8-liter V8 engine.
Meanwhile, BMW has decided to juice the engine in the 760Li. Starting with the 2010 model year, BMW 760Li is equipped with a 544 horsepower twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 with 8-speed automatic transmission. 438hp 6.0-liter engine replaces the previous model which 760Li V12s used continuously since 2003. Engine makes the BMW 760Li luxury sedan only on the price to have a V12 engine.
Starting this spring, BMW will also begin shipping a new 2010 BMW ActiveHybrid 7 with high precision direct injection, 4.4-liter V8 with 3-phase synchronous electric motor. Gasoline-powered engines in the world's first V8 engine with twin turbo for extra power. The ActiveHybrid 7 has a combined output of 455 hp, 8-speed automatic transmission and a maximum torque of 516 pounds / feet. The engine produces about 440 horsepower, while the electric motor produces an increase of about 15 hp and maximum torque of 155 pounds / feet. Hybrid engines saves gas, but the car is not only the battery faster.
